NEW PRINCE OF TENNIS ONE COIN GRANDE

Our wishes have been granted!!! Released just about exactly a year after the Prince of Tennis One Coin Grande figures, we got the NEW Prince of Tennis One Coin Grande figures!! Actually, the full title is New Prince of Tennis One Coin Grande The First Game and there WILL be a "Second Game" coming this summer in which my very favorite character is included! But let's have a look at the First Game first!!

Let's jump right at this set's secret figure first because he's my favorite. It's another version of Shiraishi!! I think he is even cuter than his Old Prince of Tennis onecoin. I just wish they didn't make his eyes greenish when they're supposed to be a medium brown color?? Why???


Getting more and more frustrated with these figures' magnetic head stand system. You can't really pose their heads without throwing them off balance.

The regular non-secret figures are all in their New Prince of Tennis team uniform. This is Kirihara. This is an adorable figure, I just wish his hair didn't look all flat when seen from the side.

Shishido! From Hyotei! He got his magnet in the SIDE of his head.


This is Little Charo. From what I gathered from an episode of his TV show four years ago (has it really been that long since my Fukuoka Adventures??? WAAAH), he is a Japanese Dog stuck in America and he doesn't have wings he is a Dog.


Shishido and Little Charo made friends after Shishido assumed the camera were off them. He has promised Charo to help him back to Japan one day.


HiyoC~! Also from Hyotei! He has wonderful little fingers but he is smiling so he doesn't look that much like Hiyoshi. I am tempted to dye his hair black and dub him Atsushi.


Kite from Higa! He is very... pale?? But he is holding a goya and that is just LOVELY.


Kotoribir gets to play the role of Picky the cockatiel. Kite designed that outfit himself. (It's actually a "Bratzillaz" pet outfit.)


Sengoku! How random! And it's making me nostalgic for the times when characters from Yamabuki were relevant.


He has very wonderful eyebrows. Some characters with this eyebrow style got eyebrow makeovers in New Prince of Tennis. I can name Otori and Kabaji, who are both on Hyotei, so I'm guessing Atobe took them to an eyebrow salon or something equally ridiculous.


I like Kin-chan just fine as a character, but I don't really like this figure. He looks very freakish and neckless and even then he only really looks acceptable seen from the front.


Chitose has the most adorable angelic face, but like Kite, he is strangely pale!


I did not debox Ryoma and Tokugawa, nor did I re-take their picture in the correct white balance, because I don't really care about them and besides, I already have one Ryoma onecoin and that's more than enough for a character I don't care about!! I am very likely to change my mind later for completist reasons though.


Here come the bonus pics! There are little humorous slips on the bottom of the boxes, so if you open them bottoms up, Kite will threaten you with goya. It's not going to work on me though!! I like goya!!!


Kirihara seems rather frightened and confused by this choice of box opening.


Open them from the top and you get Tokugawa warning you about the magnetic nature of the figures.


Hiyoshi kindly asks you not to throw the figures at people or to eat them. Please think of Hiyoshi. Also I forgot to retake this picture in the correct white balance but whatcha gon' do.


Kite skeptically compares the skintones of his on-screen self and his onecoin illustration. This figure and Chitose could have been so great, but instead they're just "okay". Why, Kotobukiya??

Shitenhoji is a very large and unruly group! There is unfortunately no comparison between the two Shiraishi figures because the old one is back at my university dwelling.


Shitenhoji uniforms are so lovely!


Are these all the Rikkais...? Yes, I did eventually decide to debox Nioh and Yukimura, but I might sell them because I just don't like Nioh and Yukimura is like ehh.


But both their bodies go so well with Kirihara I'm having second thoughts!!
