I returned from Japan with a rather satisfying Prince of Tennis haul, I think! Shiraishi here is posing with the small mountain of gashapons I had to go through in order to get him: a full set and then some, including TWO of the supposed RARE!!

So worth it though. I think he is the cutest Shiraishi yet.

Kenya can stay too, but other than that there were no characters I care about in the set.

I have mixed feelings about this particular style of figures, but it's Kirihara and Shiraishi and I love Kirihara and Shiraishi and my love for characters SOMETIMES goes above what their merchandise looks like.

Okay so I usually don't buy team-specific merchandise unless it's St. Rudolph, but these screen wipe straps came with...

Miscellaneous Shiraishi stuff!!! I guess he is my favorite OVERmerchandised character!!

I can especially not resist buying anything that has Kaburiel on it!!

Also Oni because he's my favorite NEW Prince of Tennis character and he loves his hamster and it's precious.

This is from a mystery-packaged series of TRADING GLASSES and I had to buy a whole set to get it but it has my darling Rudolph Yuta on it so it was WELL worth it.

Okay and I also recently got a few Prince of Tennis things in the mail that I'll throw in while I'm at it. The following pictures were taken from my present location, a basement far away from all my usual tools of photography!! I did my best to improvise and I don't think the drop in quality is that significant but YOU probably don't care about any of that technical stuff nearly as much as I do.

This is the first and so far only Shiraishi plush doll. When the promotional pictures first came out I was like "YAY!!" but then when they were released I was like "Ehh these look kinda dumb..." and now I'm like. I don't know. I certainly would have preferred something less... stylized? Is that the word? But I am grateful Shiraishi finally got a plush and I have a feeling it may not be his last.

Look at those little dog chewing bone arms though.

This is a Shiraishi figure that came out with a limited edition of the first New Prince of Tennis DVD that I did not buy until a similar series of figures came out with characters I wanted, and I could not get any of them without bringing Shiraishi along too!!
