ONE COIN GRANDE: JIROH AKUTAGAWA
While I got my New Prince of Tennis One Coin Grande The Second Game figures on June 18th, it took me quite a while to finally get around to make a post about them because they just left me speechless. Or well, not really THEY. HE would be more appropriate.

Jiroh Akutagawa is my number one favorite Prince of Tennis character, even beating my beloved St. Rudolph. He just means SO much to me; despite having weird sleep abnormalities, he is very likely the happiest character in the whole series. He has been an incredible inspiration to me, and continues to be every day. He was never a heavily merchandised character, but I still kept hoping that maybe he'd get a figure some day... and after like six years of being into Prince of Tennis, he did! He was announced on the company Kotobukiya's "es blog", which is their "merchandise for girls" blog, on September 28th last year.
AND HERE HE IS, AND HE IS PERFECT. I will give him his very own entry because he is perfect and review his setmates separately later.

The Jiroh illustration on the set box.

And the photograph on the side of the individual boxes.

Almost out!

THERE. WE. GO. *HEAVY BREATHING*

Every angle must be documented!!!

This is what he will look like for a frog and a bird.

His neck is ball jointed, but he can't really pose it very well because of his high collar and hair getting in the way.

Closeup of that face! He has such a lovely eye color.

Also some pictures together with his favorite person in the whole world, Marui.

This also just so happens to be my OTP, but don't worry, I won't bring ridiculous OTP feelings over to my toy journal. Much.

Aren't they just so adorable together though???!

They also work pretty well swapping bodies.
So after years and years of waiting, I finally got my dream figure. Of course I had to start taking him with me everywhere from then on.

To Tokyo Disney Sea... (yes, they just so happened to show Prince of Tennis on Disney channel and yes Marui just so happened to be in the episode!!!)

...to J-World (
mamoswine's Kirihara came along)...

...to Jump Shop...

...to Moe Garden...

...and of course, to the Pokemon Center!

He travels around in this cute little Eevee pouch that he fits perfectly into.
So that's Jiroh. My Prince of Tennis. My INSPIRATION. Where will I take him next?! Surely this will not be the last you see of him!!!
