LEEEL TINPLATE ROBOT
Apr. 7th, 2014 09:31 pmFirst of all, like my new journal title? Like Barbie has her Dream House and the Little Ponies have their Dream Castle, the toys over here have their Dream Shelf!
Sooo, here's the deal. A while ago, a couple of years maybe, I was browsing dolls on Flickr like I tend to do, when I came across the cutest ever Wizard of Oz Tinman-based robot-like little ball-jointed doll I had ever seen in my life and I needed it!!! This doll was known as a "Tinman" from the company "Dollti", but the company existed no more and no one were selling the doll anywhere. I admitted defeat and tried to forget about it.
That is, until a few months ago, that is! Also by browsing Flickr, I discovered that the Tinman doll was back, either by a new company or the old company with a new name? The details don't really matter to me. The new doll is called "Tinplate Robot" and can be purchased from "Leeel".
I naturally loaded the robot in my cart when he was made available for order. I was a little disappointed that a paintjob would cost a hundred dollars more than the actual doll itself, but he doesn't look half bad even unpainted, and then I wouldn't have to worry about paint rubs and the like. So I'm very satisfied with my purchase!
Here are the pictures I took of him right after his arrival. His name is Igor the Mini Golem.

(The pictures are bad because I was right in the middle of experimenting with camera features!!!)
