These guys can be found displayed in various stores in Fukuoka.


After searching around for a while, I'm STILL not sure what Rody is supposed to be...! But I do believe it's just another line of cute Japanese mascot toys, this time based on a big Italian horse toy made for kids to ride on almost two decades ago.


Anyway, I kind of love Rody, and Alonso clearly does too! I won't collect him like Mameshiba or anything, but he just looks so ridiculous that I just had to have a couple of toys.


I bought this watersquirter especially with Alonso in mind, it's perfect for him!


Here's what made me want to check out the Rody line in the first place, a miniature Pez dispenser! Sooo cute.


It doesn't actually work or anything, it's just a cute strap accessory. Perfect as a 'toy for my toys' kind of thing though!
