SONIC THE HEDGEHOG AND YOU

This 20th Sonic the Hedgehog anniversary that's been going on reminded me of the fact that while my fandom for the franchise doesn't go much further than the old Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game for the Sega, I absolutely love and adore Tails and why in the world don't I have any classic Tails toys??! I quickly began my search.


Let's begin with the best Tails toy I found, this absolutely amazing figure. He's super cute, super accurate, is in a nice dynamic pose, and is pretty big!


He's just AWESOME and I adore him.


Next, we have a small figure!


He is very basic, but very adorable.


So did I mention that I love old pre-blue-eyes Tails the most? Upon ordering the figure above, the seller first sent me THIS, a modern-style Tails figure. The seller let me keep him, however, so I instantly painted his eyes to make him look more like MY Tails.


Even with repainted eyes he's not as cute as Classic Tails, but this is still a fun poseable figure.


Moving on to plush dolls! I've actually had this modern-style Tails for a while. Upon spotting him in an airport shop in Japan, I was like, hey it's Tails! I don't have any Tails toys! Let's go for it!


He's very cute despite his colored irises! For a while I actually pondered if I could perhaps modify his eyes to make him more classic, but I've decided to leave him like this because I found a couple of actual classic-style Tails plushies to accompany him...:


DAAHH HOW CUTE IS THIS???! He's made by an American company called GE Animation.


I adore him! He's not made of soft fabrics, but the design is spot on.


Our final addition is this super soft plush by Jazwares~

I prefer GE Animation's plush's design, but this guy makes up for it in softness and cuddliness.

And there you have it! Yes, I'm afraid this means I officially collect yet ANOTHER character, so there WILL likely be more additions in the future. Wish me luck??

I should find my Tails stuff one time! I love Tails too! I have a SUPER old Tails plushie that is pretty loved and about 20 years old now, a damaged to hell old Tails figure I bought secondhand, he doesn't even have tails! And some Sonic X figures from back when I was obsessed with it! I need to find them all ;A;

I love old school Sonic. My first Sonic game was actually Sonic 2 but my favorite is Sonic 3 because of Knuckles and Tails can actually fly when you play as him. :D

I had no idea that there were new Sonic toys. I knew about the 20th anniversary but the toys are news to me! I might have to hunt for some myself. :3

Wooow really?? I always wanted to play Sonic 3 as a kid, but never got the chance!

(although I actually do have all three Sonic Advance games, and Tails is always vastly superior to the others because of his ability)

Hee, Tails is my favourite, too. x) I love the classic Tails! I don't have any figures (though I've been eyeing that big awesome figure for a while), but I have a couple of plushies, one classic Tails and a bigger blu-eyed Tails. Hmm, let's see... Here:

Oh I love the classic one, adorable! Definitely going on my wishlist! Definitely go for the big figure, it's frigging amazing.
