CU-POCHE MADOKAS

Cu-Poche is a fairly new series of Japanese super deformed figures by Kotobukiya. What makes them stand out, and in my opinion superior to the popular Nendoroid, is how poseable they are. I preordered Mami here on Amazon while I was in Japan, and received her on the day my classmates all went on a field trip that I decided against going on because I'm fragile. I remember because I was taking so many fun pics and was like "I bet my friends aren't having nearly as much fun as me today!!!"
But I digress.

I love how dynamically she's posed in her box.

And she's out! I love everything about her. This particular face is my favorite - it just radiates sunshine and happiness and energy. In addition to the poseability, I also like the face scults of this line a lot more than the much more babyfaced Nendoroids. That's not to say that these faces aren't babyfaceish, but there is something particularly chipmunk-cheeky about the Nendoroid faces that bugs me a little. BUT I SWEAR THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY A COMPARISON POST!!! AND I LIKE NENDOROIDS VERY MUCH!!!

Take my hand!

Let's be turning around.

She comes with four dazzling rifles.

First look at her standard Mami wink face and second pair of hands.

Details.

She can't actually put her finger through the thingy and pull the trigger, but we can pretend.

Tilty pose-y fun with guns!

Fun with focus!

Be vewy vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits.

What do you know? Her hat is removable.

Her third pair of hands. FISTS! FISTS are great. Every figure should come with FISTS.

Wiping sweat/drool/blood??

She's so touched she has friends now. I can relate.

Which brings us to her third face which I won't be using much because it's sad! Yaaaaay.

Oh and she came with this thing.

Mine has some eye wonk but all right.

Say your prayers, honey!

She has magnets glued into her feet. The magnets are stronger than the glue... resulting in this. The same thing happened to her other foot later on. It doesn't really matter much, though.

The extent of her sitting ability. I really wish these figures came with fabric skirts.

Hey, it kinda works...

Mami then got to play with my new Spongebob miniatures.

What does a Krabby Patty taste like?

ITADAKIMASU!!!

Popcorn!

Pancakey thing!

Who wants seconds?

I think this is supposed to be a lollypop, but it looks like a plain old Patrick figure with a stick jammed up his nether regions.

Time to take out the trash.

La la la!

And here's the Madoka from the same series. Mami needed her friend. I actually got Madoka first, knowing that Mami would follow. She's my second favorite character, and I love her relationship with Mami the most. This is my favorite face for her, it's so fierce and confident!

Whassat?

Just strollin' along...

And the two super friends reunited!

You go, girlfriend. WOW that was a big load of pics!!!
