Cu-Poche is a fairly new series of Japanese super deformed figures by Kotobukiya. What makes them stand out, and in my opinion superior to the popular Nendoroid, is how poseable they are. I preordered Mami here on Amazon while I was in Japan, and received her on the day my classmates all went on a field trip that I decided against going on because I'm fragile. I remember because I was taking so many fun pics and was like "I bet my friends aren't having nearly as much fun as me today!!!"

Of all the toys I bought in Japan, I'll post my Mami figures first since they're so gosh darned fun to pose!! Mami Tomoe is my favorite character from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica". Something about the series is incredibly... icky, for the lack of a better word, but another something keeps making me come back to watch it over and over again. I think it's the cast of characters.


So. Here is my first ever FIGMA! Oh boy are these small figures a lot of fun.

As I was putting together my ~*MISCELLANEOUS SALES POST*~ that among the toys I bought during the Great Toy Journal Neglect of 2008-09 were entire collections from a couple of new cartoons I watched at the time!

Let's begin with Soul Eater. It's kinda like Tiny Toon Adventures with reaper folk. No really!


My favorite characters are Death the Kid, Liz and Patti. They're basically the comic reliefs and are all huge spazzy dorks in their own special ways. This is my humble shrine to them, now let's have a closer looks at them individually!

I, like the rest of the world, like Naruto, though it's kind of boring at the moment because of the lack of swell characters!! Anyway, Naruto UFO plush dolls are simply irresistable. It was SO freaking hard (and expensive) to get a non bootleg Gaara, but it was worth it as he's so adorable.



Shino!! He's my FAVORITE Naruto character. He's very neglected and therefore very undermerchandised.
