BACK TO THE GEEK STORES

dreamshelfYESTERDAY I returned to Canal City, and TODAY I went back to the geeky Animate store! LET'S TAKE IT FROM THE TOP AND MAKE ONE ULTRA SUPER GIGA LARGE ENTRY.
Starting with the Pokemon Center, there were a few more plush dolls I just HAD to pick up. I wanted to buy at least ONE Christmas-themed item, so the Pochama plushie seemed perfect. I got the Empoleon so that I can hug my DP starter, Maize, in real life! Finally, the Halloween Pikachu... I don't like Halloween as you all know, but come ON! This Pikachu comes with a FREE GOLBAT.
Their tags. 'Cause they're cute.
Some NON-stuffed Buneary stuff because you KNOW I can't resist non-stuffed Buneary stuff when I have the opportunity to get it!! The box contained some delicious caramels, and I got the Buneary sticker in it purely by chance!
Metapod Monster Collection figure! Say, what is front and what is back on Metapod anyway...?
This little sticker book is TOTALLY rad. I won't post picture of every single sticker inside, only of the Pokemon I just so happen to collect! I MIGHT go back to fetch the Diamond version later.

I just had to post a picture of this because I dig the illustration so much! THEY'RE BFFS!!

PSST, SAANA! This pack o' postcards was the only Raichu related item I could find and I got it JUST FOR YOU!!!
After paying for my stuff, I tried my hand at the local 1/40 scale figure gachapon machine... and got my desired set at FIRST TRY!!! One of them anyway... I still have to get the Grass and Steel versions. I LOVE this Wormadam! She's all like "DERR, I'M LAZY-EYED."
Oh yeah, these guys came in the same capsule. I ALSO got the Togepi line on my second try!! I might go back and use the machine until I get my last two desired sets.
RANDOM CHUPA CHUPS FIGURE!!! I LOVE Chupa Chups for nostalgic reasons. It reminds me of... my wacky adventures on Gran Canaria.

THE NEXT DAY, which is today, I went back to the geek store, ANIMATE!! The new Rozen Maiden Punit Collecton set had just arrived!

Eee she's SO cute, and she naturally doesn't go anywhere without her totally rad hat.
I wonder why SOUSEISEKI came with the Kunkun accessories when it's SHINKU who owns them? Maybe because Souseiseki is a better detective.

I also snatched up most of the Shinku-related stuff I could find. Presenting the official Shinku pin and clear card, the official Shinku wrist band, and the official Shinku door hangers!

Still in the Animate store, I practically crashed into a smaller version of the official Ookiku Furikabutte calendar which I already own. Naturally, I went something like "Oh my gawrsh OOFURI!! I KNEW YOU COULDN'T HIDE FROM ME FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!" and proceeded to grab all the Oofuri stuff I could get my hands on. It wasn't much, but I think more stuff will be released later this month! OOH GOODY.
ANYWAY, the bag. It's an official Oofuri bag. YAY!
Coming up next, some random CARDS!! Featuring the most IMPORTANT characters (after Nishihiro) in Oofuriland, Mizutani, Suyama and Oki!
This is what Ookiku Furikabutte is all about. IT'S THE SWEETEST SHOW EVER.
And this appears to be some kind of folder unless I'm horribly mistaken!
Aaand the backside.
Afterwards, we managed to locate ANOTHER geeky store, where I picked up these... card thingies. Now I'm annoyed because I'm sure there must be Mihashi and Abe versions somewhere although I couldn't find them!
The backs! And we're done for today.

The very same store had some dolls for sale... including the rarest Pullip of them all, LEPROTTO!!! Don't be fooled by the price tag though, I believe she cost more like... 126000 yen. Hahaaaa. No thanks. D:

Yeah, maybe it's one of those 'love it/hate it' things. One of the cutest Pikachus I forgot: maybe the earliest picture by Ken Sugimori (http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/5295/deckboxtw2.jpg). Pikachu was so chubby and, well, rodent-like back in those days. I'm not the biggest fan of him/her but those early versions have their charm. ^_^
