Keeping these for sure because Torchic is a sweetie.
She brought some friends along! I've grown to rather like Plusle and Minun. I DO think it's really cheap that they look so much like Pikachu, but the concept behind them is pretty clever.
So how do they compare to the clingy Kids (toys I bought during the Great Neglect oh no)? They DO fit the bases, but barely!

First gen in-case figures usually have 2 peg slots, but it seems quite possible that the fewer later ones that were made used just a single peg. In any case, hers is the only one I've ever seen with the...case intact.

Date: 2010-02-13 09:21 am (UTC)It's really weird, because there's a single peg hole in the middle, right? But the base doesn't have a peg, it has a bunch of smaller holes instead, so the figure doesn't actually snap onto the base at all!
And I know neither of the sellers just stuck the figure and the base together either, because I have an Absol in case figure (also without the case) and it has the same sort of peg hole...
I actually already had this figure that I bought for $1 somewhere else too, I think just nobody knew what it was! I guess someone could just buy a cheap 151 in-case, make a cheap background for it, and stick them together if they wanted.
